👉 The novel has a history of almost two hundred (2000) years. People used to write and read a collection of tales called "Greek Romances.The traces (نقوش) of Greek romances can be found from  the second century to sixth century. 


👉Prior to 18th century,  the upper class elite people had privilege to reading. As per upper class' interest, only romances and tragedies used to be described in novel.poor or middle class didn't have access to reading.  But in the 18th century the appearance of newspapers and magazines attracted a large number of readers from the middle class.Unlike the upper class interest of romances and tragedy, this middle class has its interest in the spirit of realism and denial romantic feature  like enthusiasm, passion  and imagination. 

Reason Of middle class progress

  Increase in trade and commerce along the industrial revolution had given rise to middle class.The spread of machines  could provide a time to this newly educated middle class for reading and discussing about the books.
